The place where I go to listen
is a dance piece for four dancers. The base of this piece is a phrase consisting of 31 movements, inspired by the Japanese poem format "Tanka", which consists of five lines à 5-7-5-7-7 morae (a mora is similar and yet different to a syllable). This phrase is variated upon during the entire piece. Notation from classical music is used to compose from the 31 movements.
