so we returned to resting and decided to dedicate this dance to letting go

is an 18mins excerpt of what we imagine to become a durational installation performance where there might very well be 18mins where seemingly nothing happens and where unexpected dance might unfold in the midst and from within resting.

I developed "so we returned to resting and decided to dedicate this dance to letting go" during my residency at ImpulsTanz Vienna 2025 as a scholarship holder of ATLAS.

We held each other’s heads, lifted, carried, shifted them, and rested them on our bodies. Listening to the time it needs to sink in, to let go of surface tension, of deep tension. Holding each other and letting go.

We amplified the speakers ground noise and were accompanied by the ongoing sound of the ventilator. It was hot outside and inside on August 9 at Bears in the Park Studios during our ATLAS sharings.
